Quarrying at the Bryn site is historic, the farm house and neighbouring manor house Llancaiach Fawr, both built in the 1550s, are thought to be built with stone excavated from the original quarry.
Quarry stones and more
The current quarry was opened in the early 1990s to supply the needs of the Bryn farm. But it quickly expanded as there was an increased demand from customers for high-quality aggregate products.
